2025년 5월 17일, 큐레이팅 스쿨 서울 제 1학기의 운영진과 코어 멤버들은 5월 17일 토요일, 이어  국립현대미술관에서 열린 전시 《기울인 몸들-서로의 취약함이 만날 때》를 함께 관람했습니다. 과외 활동으로 마련된 이번 활동에서, 참여자들은 먼저 1시간 정도 도슨트 투어와 음성 해설*을 들어보기도 하면서 각자의 방식으로 전시를 경험했습니다.

  • 《기울인 몸들》의 음성 해설에는 5월 16일 “당연하지 않은 감각” 공개 강연을 진행한 힘빼고 컴퍼니의 장근영이 참여했습니다.

On May 17, 2025, Curating School Seoul’s first semester core members visited the exhibition Looking After Each Other at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea on Saturday. During this extracurricular activity, participants had experiences of the exhibition in their own ways through a one-hour docent tour and audio guide.*

관람을 마친 후, 참여자들은 인근 카페에 둘러 앉아 한 시간 반 가량 각자의 감상과 생각을 나누었습니다.

  • 전시를 둘러싼 환경 (ex. 미술관까지 오는 길, 웹사이트)의 접근성
  • 전시 관람객의 구성: 성별, 연령, 장애인/비장애인 관람객의 구성이 동시간에 다른 전시실에서 열리고 있는 전시의 관람객들과는 차이
  • ‘접근성’이라는 넓은 주제 안에서 이번 전시는 무엇을 선택하고 어떤 면모에 집중했을까? 부산현대미술관, 광주 국립아시아문화전당에서 열리고 있는 다른 접근성 전시들은 또 무엇을 선택하고 집중했을까?
  • 영유아 관객, 유아차 사용 관객의 입장에서 생각해보는 이번 전시와 국립현대미술관의 접근성

After viewing the exhibition, participants gathered at a nearby café and spent about an hour and a half sharing their impressions and thoughts.

  • Accessibility of the environment surrounding the exhibition (e.g., the route to the museum, website)
  • Composition of exhibition visitors: differences in gender, age, and the ratio of disabled/non-disabled visitors compared to visitors in other exhibition halls at the same time
  • Within the broad theme of ‘accessibility,’ what did this exhibition choose to focus on and which aspects did it emphasize? What have other accessibility exhibitions at Busan Museum of Contemporary Art and Asia Culture Center in Gwangju chosen to focus on?
  • Accessibility of this exhibition and MMCA from the perspective of visitors with infants and stroller users
  • The interactive audio guide that became another artwork The educational function stands out in public institution exhibitions related to accessibility. But what additional devices are needed to prevent these exhibitions from being perceived simply as ‘experiential’ exhibitions?
